DomainWill is a local-first desktop application. Your data stays on your computer. We don't collect it, we don't see it, and we can't access it.
All data you enter into DomainWill — including domain information, registrar credentials, passwords, MFA backup codes, beneficiary details, and heir instructions — is encrypted using AES-256 and stored exclusively on your local machine. Your vault file never leaves your computer unless you explicitly:
We do not collect, transmit, store, or have access to:
If you configure the Dead Man's Switch email feature, DomainWill connects directly to your specified SMTP server to send notifications. We do not operate, relay, or store any emails. The SMTP credentials you provide are stored in your encrypted vault alongside your other data.
The DomainWill website (landing page) does not use cookies, tracking pixels, or analytics services. If a contact form is present, submissions are processed by a third-party form service (e.g., Formspree) and are subject to their privacy policy.
DomainWill does not phone home. License status is stored locally within your encrypted vault. No internet connection is required to use the application after download.
DomainWill does not integrate with, send data to, or receive data from any third-party services during normal operation. The application is fully self-contained.
DomainWill is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect information from children.
If we update this policy, we will post the revised version on this page with an updated date. Material changes will be noted in the application's release notes.
